Games & Recreation

Playing funny games, participating in competitive activities, and participating in a large variety of leisure activities are all key aspects of sustaining a healthy lifestyle at Oakdene Care Home. Our Activity Coordinators enjoy coming up with new and exciting activities for all of our residents to participate in, and they take delight in including as many of them in the planning process as possible.

In fact, many of our activities and games are developed in collaboration with our residents to ensure that we are providing them with the type of outlet they desire. No matter how old you are, staying active is essential for remaining healthy.

Entertainment Right On Your Doorstep

Our Activity Coordinators are wonderful at motivating our residents to attempt new things on a daily basis. They’re also fantastic at ensuring that residents who want to continue doing what they’ve been doing for years are able to do so. Our coordinators at Oakdene Care Home often enjoy taking our residents out and about, as well as ensuring that they have the best adventures while still on our premises. We invite plenty of entertainers to Oakdene, meaning there are lots of things to do without leaving the house.

Let Loose & Have Fun at Oakdene

Yes, staying physically and emotionally engaged is important for our residents, but our main goal is to constantly ensure that our residents are enjoying their stay with us at Oakdene Care Home and experiencing their life to the fullest. So, whether it’s in the garden during the Spring and Summer months, or playing board games in the warmth of the living room while it’s freezing outside, our residents’ well-being is our top priority.
