Meet the Team

Sharon is our administrator here at Oakdene. Having previously run her own retail company, she is self-motivated, has good organisational skills and is used to managing her own workload.

Ben Dodson. Head Housekeeper. Ben has worked at Oakdene since 2012. Ben is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the home. He is passionate about promoting a culture of good practice within his team of 5 housekeepers. Ben is often found completing word games with residents in the lounges!

Karen works alongside Sharon as part of our receptionist team at Oakdene. She has a great, bubbly personality and always takes the time to build a personal connection with our residents and their loved ones.

Tom is the dedicated gardener at Oakdene Care Home, creating a vibrant, welcoming outdoor space for residents, staff and visitors. Known for his green thumb and friendly nature, Tom takes pride in maintaining the home’s gardens. Tom believes that gardening has a powerful role in supporting well-being, and he often involves residents in light gardening activities, encouraging connection with the outdoors.

Whether he’s planting a new rose bush or simply chatting with a resident during his rounds, Tom’s presence adds life and warmth to the Oakdene community.
